Chengho Restaurant: Cheng Ho is a Chinese seafood restaurant with hints of Malay and That flavours. The restaurant is quite big and can comfortably seat about 130 people and is located in Wangsa Maju. The restaurant was named after Admiral Cheng Ho, a Chinese muslim who is a promininet figure in the historybooks. The owner of the restaurant, may sound familiar, that’s because he’s a rockstar – Amy Search. He started the restaurant in April 2008 with plans to expand to Melaka and Johor Baru in the near future. Cheng Ho serves up Chinese seafood cooked in a unique Islamic style. Offering generous portions, Cheng Ho is ideal for larger families and/or large groups of friends. There are a number of dishes here that stand out among the rest; these include the salted egg crab, lala in Kam Heong sauce, the steamed seabass in Nonya sauce and the prawns in fresh milk.
